The Head of R&D Ops reports directly to our CTO an plays a critical role in enabling strategy execution, effective communication, collaboration, budget management, and special projects within the R&D organization.

This role will serve as a pivotal role in ensuring the CTO organization operates smoothly, enabling the CTO to focus on strategic leadership and technology vision. The Role will report directly to the CTO and will be part of the CTO leadership team and the company’s senior leadership team.

• Operational Efficiency
  • Maximize organization effectiveness in meeting budget and resourcing projects.
  • Manage the R&D budget and resources, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization across different teams and projects.
  • Serve as a single point of contact for key stakeholders, track and monitor open key action items and bring them to close.
  • Own the metric for the organization, status, tracking progress and visualization through dashboards.
  • Lead specific Engineering meetings, including setting agendas and providing insights for strategic conversations.
  • Document and communicate decisions and action items from meetings, ensuring follow-up and accountability.
    
    
• Strategy alignment and execution
  • Assist the CTO in implementing their vision, managing the business, and addressing ad-hoc challenges that arise.
  • Align the R&D organization around goals associated with the CTO's vision as well as ensure the broader cross functional team is aligned with key R&D initiatives.
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of a R&D roadmap and manage capacity planning in alignment with the roadmap.
• Collaboration & Communication
  • Coordinate and facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication between R&D and other departments, such as product, engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support.
  • Manage External and Internal Stakeholder relationships and alignment.
• Projects
  • Identify and resolve any issues or risks that may impact the delivery or quality of R&D projects and escalate them to the CTO as needed.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance and impact of R&D projects, and provide regular feedback and reporting to the CTO and other executives.

• Sharp critical thinking skills to solve business issues and communicate effectively.

• Deep understanding of SDLC (software development life cycle) process
• Deep understanding of Agile ways of working, Capacity planning and resource allocation practices.
